Iziah James Ferguson

Iziah James was born April 1st 2006, and Died october 19th 2007. He was 1 year, 6 months and 18 days old. He was killed in his sleep when he rolled over and smothered himself with his pillow. I found him the next morning. He has an 8 yr old half-brother named Izaac, and a 4yr old half-sister named Izabella. He left behind a 19yr old mother, and a 27yr old father.

Iziah meant so much to me. He was my 1st child and he was my life, my world, my everything. When i found him that morning my heart was ripped out of my chest and ripped into tiny pieces. I held him in my arms for at least an hour before my husband and his two children woke. They immediatly called an ambulance and the ambulance drivers attempted to revive him. His official death time is 9:42 AM. But it was believed he stopped breathing somewhere between 1 and 4 AM. The hospital did their best, they took handprints and footprints, a picture of him and a lock of his hair and placed them in a beautiful box with his hospital bracelets and a card that had a poem on it. They let me take him home and dress him in the clothes i wanted him buried in.(the tiny little suit he wore to my sisters wedding 2 weeks earlier)

I thank the doctors, nurses and ambulance drivers for trying their best and helping me in my time of loss. I thank god for blessing me with my beautiful son in the 1st place. I thank my husband, Izabella and Izaac for getting me through this and i thank everyone who has lit a candle in Iziahs name.
